Our safety shoe is not a normal safety shoe, but the result of years of development work. The focus was not on individual features, but on creating a noticeable health benefit for the wearer.

The result is the Go&Relax system, which allows the natural movement of your foot, even in a safety shoe. It is the heart of our safety shoe. We don’t limit ourselves to building health-preserving features only into high-priced shoes, but are gradually implementing our system in all of our shoes. A safety shoe that takes you and your physique holistically into account – and doesn’t stop at the foot.

Problem of other safety shoes

Conventional safety shoes have a big problem. Due to a misconstruction of the commonly used straight toe caps, your toes, in a straight line, bend unnaturally. But what does your foot look like? This straight bending line does not fit your foot and prevents the two small toes from being integrated into the running movement. They are indispensable for the function and stability of the foot.

In addition, the other three toes are overloaded, which also has a negative effect. The natural movement of the foot is massively restricted.

Our solution

The patented Go&Relax system solves this problem. This achieves a diagonal flexing line that corresponds to the natural movement of the foot. All 5 toes are integrated when rolling.

The load during walking is thus distributed among tendons, muscles and joints. As a result, the foot, as the foundation of the body, can once again develop its full potential. In this sense, safety shoes with the Go&Relax System are potential development shoes for the multi-talented foot.

For example, BAAK was the first safety shoe manufacturer to recognize the outstanding advantages of a lightweight, cushioning sole material from the running shoe sector and to introduce EVA to the safety shoe industry with great success. In order to further expand our expertise in foot-appropriate safety, we are also happy to cooperate with experts from related fields. For example, we have developed the BAAK® Go&Relax System in cooperation with one of the world’s leading biomechanists, Prof. Dr. Gert-Peter Brüggemann. Shoe development is a top priority at BAAK. Not only our own collection, but also company-specific developments are designed in-house – from the sole to the upper – from the idea to series production.

In addition to his previous jobs at SympaTex® and other well-known shoe manufacturers, he is the inventor of 15 patents on various technologies in the footwear industry. Karsten’s passion is the components of a single shoe and the craftsmanship involved in its production.

As a shoe designer and graduate of ARSUTORIA in Milan, she has previously worked in development for well-known shoe manufacturers and worked from drawing to series production.
