Construction of the second building – progress and development
Cyclone Ana ravaged Mozambique and Malawi in January, causing storms and flooding. The region around our school was badly affected, but the new school building survived well and suffered no damage.
Previously, three additional classes were taught there in temporary wooden/straw huts, which unfortunately did not survive the storm and flooding. We will therefore bring forward the construction of a new building this year so that the three classes can be taught again. The building site has now been opened by the municipality.
Our project partner was in Malawi at the beginning of May and visited our school buildings. The construction site is very well organized and the young principal is doing a great job. There is great joy about the extension.
